HawkTower and FLEETWERX Announce a Strategic Partnership to Drive Dual-Use Innovation
Advancing dual-use technologies in underleveraged California
HawkTower, a venture capital firm for California’s emerging hubs, has partnered with FLEETWERX to collaborate on building a local dual-use innovation ecosystem that can contribute to national security solutions.
Dual-use technologies can be used both for civilian and military applications. HawkTower and FLEETWERX have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the dual applicability of technologies that address California-driven and defense-driven opportunities.
FLEETWERX, a non-profit organization established under a Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) between DEFENSEWERX and the Monterey-based Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), serves as an innovation hub for NPS. FLEETWERX provides a platform for cooperative teaming and innovation with Academia, Industry, and National & Federal Labs to discover, engage, and accelerate novel solutions supporting the United States Navy and the Department of Defense.
